Author’s Note: I’ve read the first 16 volumes of the manga X/1999 and I have to admit that I never really thought of Yuuto as evil.  Compared to, say, Seishirou or Fuuma, he seemed pretty nonthreatening, more interested in flirting than tormenting people or destroying the world.  When I recently came upon Clamp’s X/1999 Tarot Cards, I was a bit puzzled by their choice of Yuuto to portray the Devil.  It really got me thinking of how Yuuto embodies evil, how his sensualistic and shallow nature could make him as destructive as his fellow Dragons of the Earth without even realizing it.  This story is the result.  The phrase “Immemor Virtutis” means “unmindful of virtue.”
